mint tea
Moroccan hospitality beverage
Mint tea is tea flavored with mint leaves, served hot or iced.
In Morocco and other North African countries, it refers specifically to green tea steeped with fresh spearmint and generous amounts of sugar, traditionally poured from a height to create foam: We sat in the medina drinking sweet mint tea.
Elsewhere, mint tea may be an herbal infusion of mint alone, without actual tea leaves.
