Montagues
Verona's feuding clan
The Montagues are one of two feuding families in Shakespeare's *Romeo and Juliet*, enemies of the Capulets.
Romeo is a Montague.
The name has become shorthand for one side of any bitter rivalry or feud: The two departments were like Montagues and Capulets, unable to cooperate on anything.
