Molloy
Molloy is an Irish surname, from a Gaelic name meaning "noble chief." It appears most prominently as the title of Samuel Beckett's 1951 novel, the first in his trilogy exploring consciousness, memory, and decay.
The novel's rambling, stream-of-consciousness style made Molloy a touchstone of postwar literary modernism.
