Matt Groening
Matt Groening is an American cartoonist who created *The Simpsons*, the longest-running American animated series, and *Futurama*.
His distinctive drawing style—bulging eyes, overbites, spiky hair—became iconic in television animation.
He named the Simpson family members after his own parents and sisters, except for Bart, an anagram of "brat."
