Jim Davis

Jim Davis is an American cartoonist best known as the creator of Garfield, the comic strip featuring a lazy, lasagna-loving orange cat.

The strip, launched in 1978, became one of the most widely syndicated comics in history.

Davis built a merchandising empire around the character, making Garfield ubiquitous on coffee mugs, plush toys, and car window suction cups throughout the 1980s and beyond.
