Massive Attack
Bristol electronic group
Massive Attack is a British musical group from Bristol, formed in 1988, pioneers of the genre called trip hop—a moody blend of hip hop beats, electronic textures, and atmospheric production.
Their albums *Blue Lines* and *Mezzanine* are considered landmarks of 1990s alternative music.
The name occasionally appears in news contexts where editors nervously shorten it to "Massive" during wartime.
