Wireless transmission inventor
Guglielmo Marconi was an Italian inventor and electrical engineer who pioneered long-distance radio transmission, winning the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1909.
His name became synonymous with early wireless communication: Marconi's wireless changed maritime safety forever. (Lowercase marconi occasionally refers to early radio equipment or a type of sail rig.)
