Samuel Morse
Dots and dashes
Samuel Morse was an American inventor and painter who developed the telegraph and the coding system that bears his name.
Morse code uses sequences of short and long signals—dots and dashes—to represent letters and numbers, enabling long-distance communication before voice transmission was possible.
SOS in Morse code is three dots, three dashes, three dots.
