Magnificent Seven
Heroic gunslingers, seven
The Magnificent Seven is a 1960 American Western film about seven gunslingers hired to protect a Mexican village from bandits—itself a remake of Kurosawa's Seven Samurai.
The phrase now refers to any elite group of seven, most recently the seven dominant tech stocks driving U.S. market gains in the 2020s: Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Nvidia, Meta, and Tesla.
