Three Amigos

Slapstick western parody

Three Amigos refers to any trio of close associates, especially in politics or business.

The phrase gained currency from the 1986 comedy film of the same name, in which three actors are mistaken for real heroes.

In North American politics, it often labels the leaders of Canada, the United States, and Mexico meeting together: The Three Amigos summit addressed trade disputes.
