Lorax
The Lorax is a small, mustachioed creature in Dr.
Seuss's 1971 children's book who "speaks for the trees" against environmental destruction.
The character has become shorthand for environmental activism or anyone who advocates loudly for nature: She's the Lorax of our neighborhood, fighting every development proposal.
