Liège
Belgian industrial metropolis
Liège is a major city in eastern Belgium, situated along the Meuse River near the borders with the Netherlands and Germany.
It serves as the economic and cultural capital of the French-speaking Wallonia region and has historically been an important industrial center, particularly for steel and coal.
The city is known for its vibrant nightlife, the Sunday morning market La Batte, and as a significant transportation hub.
We stopped in Liège on our way to Cologne.
