Lemmings
Redirect the horde
Lemmings are Arctic rodents known for their cyclic population booms and crashes, which can lead to mass migrations.
Contrary to popular myth, they do not intentionally commit suicide by jumping off cliffs; this misconception was popularized by staged footage in a 1958 Disney documentary.
Lemmings have dense fur and short tails, adaptations for cold climates, and feed primarily on mosses and grasses.
Their population cycles are influenced by predation and resource availability.
The sudden appearance of lemmings in large numbers often signals a population peak.
