Double Dragon
Twin martial artists
Double Dragon is a 1987 beat-em-up video game franchise featuring martial artist brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee fighting street gangs to rescue a kidnapped woman.
The side-scrolling gameplay, where players punch and kick through waves of enemies, defined the genre and popularized cooperative two-player action.
The name has become shorthand for classic arcade brawlers: We spent hours on Double Dragon at the pizza place.
