Folding tool brand

Leatherman is a brand of multi-tool—a folding pocket device combining pliers, knife blades, screwdrivers, and other implements in a single handle.

The name has become somewhat generic for any such tool: I always keep a Leatherman in my glove box.

Separately, leatherman (lowercase) can refer to a man who wears leather clothing as part of gay subculture.
