Hangul writing system
Korean characters are the letters of Hangul, the Korean writing system.
Unlike Chinese characters, which are logographic, Korean characters represent sounds and combine into syllable blocks: The word 한글 uses four Korean characters arranged in two blocks.
The system was invented in the 15th century and is notable for its logical, learnable design.
