J-drama

Japanese television series

J-drama is Japanese television drama, typically referring to serialized fiction produced in Japan.

Unlike American TV series that may run for years, J-dramas usually span a single season of 10-12 episodes.

The term distinguishes Japanese productions from K-dramas (Korean) and C-dramas (Chinese) in discussions of Asian television: I've been binging J-dramas on streaming.
