Islamic scripture
Muslim holy book
Islamic scripture refers to the sacred texts of Islam, primarily the Quran, believed by Muslims to be the word of God as revealed to the Prophet Muhammad.
The term may also include the Hadith—collections of Muhammad's sayings and actions that guide Islamic law and practice.
Scholars of Islamic scripture study both the Quran and authenticated Hadith.
