Musicians' stage earpieces
IEMs is an abbreviation for in-ear monitors, small earphones that fit snugly inside the ear canal.
Originally developed for musicians to hear themselves and their bandmates clearly while performing on stage, IEMs have become popular among audiophiles seeking high-fidelity portable sound.
Unlike standard earbuds that rest loosely in the outer ear, IEMs create a seal that blocks external noise and delivers precise audio.
