Ho
Rare earth symbol
Ho is an exclamation with several uses.
It can express surprise or triumph: Land ho!
Repeated, it represents laughter, especially Santa Claus's: Ho ho ho!
In hip-hop and Black American slang, ho is a clipped form of whore—a promiscuous woman or, more broadly, any woman viewed dismissively.
This sense is vulgar and offensive: Bros before hos.
