Green Gables

Green Gables is the fictional farmhouse in L.M.

Montgomery's 1908 novel *Anne of Green Gables*, set on Prince Edward Island.

The name evokes its distinctive architectural feature—the triangular wall sections beneath the peaked roof, painted green.

By extension, Green Gables references the beloved book series and its adaptations, or the actual heritage site in Cavendish, PEI, that inspired the setting.
