Gigantor

Giant mechanical guardian

Gigantor is a giant robot from a 1960s Japanese anime series, one of the earliest examples of the mecha genre.

The name now serves as informal shorthand for anything enormous or imposing: That new SUV is a real Gigantor.

Often used affectionately or with mild exaggeration to describe oversized people, objects, or creatures.
