Francis Crick

Francis Crick was a British molecular biologist who, with James Watson, discovered the double helix structure of DNA in 1953—one of the most significant scientific breakthroughs of the twentieth century.

The pair used X-ray crystallography data from Rosalind Franklin to build their model.

Crick shared the 1962 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Watson and Maurice Wilkins.
