Ford's Theatre
Presidential assassination venue
Ford's Theatre is a historic playhouse in Washington, D.C., where President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth on April 14, 1865.
Now a museum and working theater, it remains a prominent symbol of Lincoln's death and the Civil War era: We visited Ford's Theatre on our trip to the capital.
