Lincoln Bedroom
Historic White House chamber
The Lincoln Bedroom is a room on the second floor of the White House, used as a guest bedroom for visiting dignitaries and personal friends of the president.
Despite its name, Abraham Lincoln never slept there—he used it as an office.
The room gained notoriety in the 1990s when the Clinton administration was accused of offering overnight stays to major campaign donors, making Lincoln Bedroom shorthand for political access bought through contributions.
