Flock of Seagulls
Beach birds together
A Flock of Seagulls is a British synth-pop band from the early 1980s, best known for the song "I Ran (So Far Away)" and frontman Mike Score's distinctive swooping hairstyle—brushed dramatically forward and upward.
The hairstyle became so iconic that a Flock of Seagulls haircut now refers to any similar exaggerated new wave coiffure: He showed up to the costume party with a Flock of Seagulls.
