Flemings
Dutch-speaking Belgians
Flemings are the Dutch-speaking people of Flanders, the northern region of Belgium.
They constitute roughly 60 percent of Belgium's population and have their own distinct cultural identity, though they share citizenship with French-speaking Walloons.
The term also refers historically to people from the medieval County of Flanders: Flemings were renowned weavers in the Middle Ages.
