Eurodisco

Seventies European dance

Eurodisco is dance music that emerged from European studios in the mid-1970s, characterized by synthesizers, steady four-on-the-floor beats, and polished production.

More electronic and less funky than American disco, it favored catchy hooks and accessible melodies: ABBA, Boney M, Giorgio Moroder's productions.

The style influenced later electronic dance genres including Italo disco and Hi-NRG.
