Egyptian deities

Pharaonic divine pantheon

Egyptian deities are the gods and goddesses of ancient Egypt—Ra, Isis, Osiris, Anubis, Horus, and dozens of others who populated one of history's most elaborate pantheons.

Many had animal heads or forms: the jackal-headed Anubis guided souls to the afterlife, the falcon-headed Horus ruled the sky.

They appear in discussions of mythology, archaeology, and ancient religion: The temple was dedicated to multiple Egyptian deities.
