Ebony magazine
African American periodical
Ebony is an American magazine founded in 1945, focused on African American life, culture, and achievement.
For decades it was the flagship publication for Black readers, covering politics, entertainment, fashion, and social issues.
My grandmother kept every issue of Ebony.
The magazine helped shape Black cultural identity and showcased African American success during segregation and beyond.
