Dubonnet

Quinine-flavored fortified wine

Dubonnet is a sweet, wine-based French aperitif flavored with herbs and quinine.

It has a deep reddish color and slightly bitter edge, traditionally served over ice or mixed with gin: a Dubonnet and soda.

The name also describes the distinctive dark red color of the drink: a Dubonnet-colored lipstick.
