Don Giovanni

Operatic legendary womanizer

Don Giovanni is Mozart's opera about the legendary seducer Don Juan, first performed in 1787.

The title is Italian for "Sir John." By extension, a don Giovanni is any charming, unscrupulous womanizer: He fancied himself a don Giovanni, but his conquests were mostly in his imagination.
