Devanagari script
Sanskrit's written form
Devanagari script is the writing system used for Hindi, Sanskrit, Marathi, Nepali, and several other South Asian languages.
The script runs left to right, with letters hanging from a horizontal line at the top.
Each character represents a syllable rather than a single sound.
The ancient texts were written in Devanagari script.
