Cyber Monday

Post-Thanksgiving online sales

Cyber Monday is the Monday following Thanksgiving in the United States, marketed as a day for online shopping deals.

It emerged as an e-commerce counterpart to Black Friday, when brick-and-mortar stores traditionally offer major discounts.

The name was coined by retailers in 2005 to encourage online purchases: I'm waiting until Cyber Monday to order that TV.
