Concord grapes

Purple slip-skins

Concord grapes are a dark purple variety native to North America, developed in Concord, Massachusetts in the mid-nineteenth century.

They have a distinctive sweet, musky flavor and slip easily from their skins.

Concords are the grape behind most American grape juice, jelly, and kosher wine: The jam was made from Concord grapes.
