white grapes
Pale vineyard fruit
White grapes are grape varieties with green, yellow, or pale skin—as opposed to red or black grapes.
The term applies both to table grapes eaten fresh and to wine grapes used for white wines.
Despite the name, white grapes are rarely actually white: a bowl of white grapes and cheese, Chardonnay is made from white grapes.
