Band of Brothers
Easy Company chronicle
A band of brothers is a close-knit group of men who have shared hardship or combat, bonded through mutual struggle.
The phrase comes from Shakespeare's *Henry V*, where the king addresses his soldiers before battle: We few, we happy few, we band of brothers.
It gained renewed currency from the HBO miniseries about a World War II parachute infantry company.
The phrase suggests loyalty forged through shared danger rather than blood relation.
