China Beach
Wartime nursing series
China Beach is a stretch of shoreline near Da Nang, Vietnam, used as a recreation area for American military personnel during the Vietnam War.
The name became widely known through the late-1980s television drama set there, depicting nurses and soldiers on R&R.
My uncle spent his leave at China Beach in '68.
