B movies
Low-budget cinema
B movies are low-budget films, originally the lesser half of a double feature in mid-20th-century cinema.
The term now describes any cheaply made movie, often in genre categories like horror, science fiction, or action.
Some B movies achieve cult status for their campy charm: We stayed up late watching terrible B movies.
The designation implies low production values but not necessarily low entertainment value.
