hold your liquor
Handle your alcohol
To hold your liquor is to drink alcohol without becoming visibly intoxicated or losing control.
Someone who can hold their liquor shows few outward signs of drunkenness—no slurred speech, stumbling, or erratic behavior—even after several drinks.
He can really hold his liquor.
The opposite is implied when someone clearly cannot: Two beers and she's already slurring—she can't hold her liquor at all.
