B-road

Lesser British highway

A B-road is a secondary road in the British classification system, narrower and less traveled than an A-road.

B-roads connect smaller towns and villages, often winding through countryside: We took the B-roads to avoid motorway traffic.

They're numbered with a B prefix followed by digits: the B4632.
