B&O

Baltimore-Ohio line abbreviation

B&O is an abbreviation for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, one of the oldest railroads in the United States, founded in 1827.

It became culturally embedded through its appearance on the Monopoly board game, where it's one of four railroad properties players can purchase.

The railroad merged with other companies and eventually became part of CSX Transportation.

B&O also refers to Bang & Olufsen, a Danish manufacturer of high-end audio equipment and televisions known for sleek, minimalist design.
