Anna Pavlova
Anna Pavlova was a Russian ballet dancer of the early twentieth century, widely considered one of the greatest ballerinas in history.
She became famous for "The Dying Swan," a solo choreographed specifically for her.
The pavlova dessert—a meringue topped with cream and fruit—is named after her, supposedly created during one of her tours to Australia or New Zealand.
