Rudolf Nureyev
Rudolf Nureyev was a Soviet-born ballet dancer who defected to the West in 1961, becoming one of the twentieth century's most celebrated male dancers.
His athletic, passionate style and partnership with Margot Fonteyn transformed classical ballet.
