toe shoes
Ballerina's stiffened slippers
Toe shoes are ballet slippers with reinforced, boxed tips that allow dancers to support their full body weight on the ends of their toes—dancing *en pointe*.
The rigid toe box is traditionally made of layers of fabric, paper, and paste that harden into a supportive shell.
Also called pointe shoes.
She finally got her first pair of toe shoes after years of training.
