Alanis Morissette
Alanis Morissette is a Canadian singer-songwriter who rose to international fame with her 1995 album *Jagged Little Pill*, known for raw, confessional lyrics and songs like "You Oughta Know" and "Ironic." The latter became famous for listing situations arguably not ironic, spawning endless debates about the word's meaning.
Her name is sometimes invoked as shorthand for angry female rock of the 1990s.
