African rhinoceros
Savanna's armored giant
Either of two rhinoceros species native to Africa: the black rhinoceros and the white rhinoceros.
Both are massive, thick-skinned herbivores with two horns on the snout.
Despite their names, neither is truly black or white—the distinction comes from mouth shape and feeding habits.
African rhinos are critically endangered due to poaching for their horns.
