Advent season
Liturgical Christmas countdown
Advent season is the period of approximately four weeks before Christmas in the Christian calendar, observed as a time of spiritual preparation and anticipation for the celebration of Christ's birth.
Churches mark it with special services, and households often use Advent calendars or wreaths to count down the days: We light one candle on the Advent wreath each Sunday.
