A Dolls House
Ibsen's slamming door
A Doll's House is an 1879 play by Henrik Ibsen in which a wife leaves her husband and children to find herself—a scandalous ending that made it a landmark of modern drama.
The title refers to the protagonist's realization that she has been treated as a plaything rather than a person: Their marriage was a doll's house.
