1st person

The speaking perspective

First person is the grammatical perspective where the speaker refers to themselves: I, me, we, us.

In writing, first person narration tells a story from the narrator's own viewpoint: The novel is written in first person.

Video games use "first-person" for the camera angle showing what the character sees, as opposed to third-person views from behind or above.
